Connected at Artprize

I’ve been making art as long as I can remember in the form of photography and currating intentional spaces within homes. In 2023 after the loss of my Dad I looked to painting as a way to escape and process. I explored texture, abstract lines and color, allowing myself space to play. This piece, Connected, came from the deep knowing that technology is only as good as we allow oursleves to be disconnected from it. I am raising awareness about the risks that phone and screen addiction bring. We must find ways to detox from the constant input that leaves most of us siloed, depleted, comparing and seeking.
